Ryuichi Tanaka is Professor at Institute of Social Science in University of Tokyo. His previous appointments were Associate Professor at National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo Institute of Technology, and Assistant Professor at Osaka University. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from New York University in 2004.

My research interests are in the fields of labor economics and public economics. My research focuses on the impact on policies: (i) reducing asymmetric information in social insurance programs, especially Short-Time Work programs, (ii) fostering labor demand for vulnerable groups.

I work in market design, primarily studying dominant strategy incentives in non-quasilinear environments. Most recently this has directed my focus to school choice, where coauthors and I have found a novel way of incorporating crowding externalities while preserving the standard structures ("Crowding in School Choice," AER, August 2024). We are now applying these techniques to make school funding endogenous to the matching.

I work on economics of networks and environmental economics. Particularly differential games and production networks.

I am a PhD candidate in Economics at Imperial College in the Economics department. My research focuses on environmental and energy economics, climate finance, industrial organisation and labour economics.

I hold a MRes with Distinction from Imperial College, a MSc from the LSE and a BSc from Bocconi university in Economics. Prior to joining Imperial Business School I was a UK civil service economist, having worked for a variety of departments including the UK Finance ministry (HM Treasury).

At present, I am conducting research on the zero-waste waste management concept, exploring this topic as it pertains to climate change mitigation and urban development in present day.

My research explores policy interventions that promote children's full potential and development, with a particular focus on early childhood programs that enhance both soft and non-soft skills. Additionally, I study policies designed to facilitate the reintegration of ex-inmates into society, aiming to reduce recidivism and improve working conditions.

My research focuses on the Future of Work. More specifically, I study how workers and their skills interact with new technologies, such as Digital, AI, and Green Technologies, both in a theoretical as well as empirical manner.

Mary Tzaawa-Krenzler

I am a 5th-year Ph.D. candidate at Goethe University Frankfurt where I also work as a research assistant. Further, I am a member of the Institute for Monetary and Financial Stability.

I am an applied theorist in the area of macroeconomics. My research focuses on the effects of information and behavioral frictions, household heterogeneity and monetary policy in general equilibrium models. My secondary research interest focuses on applied macroeconometric methods.
