His previous appointments were Associate Professor at National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Tokyo Institute of Technology, and Assistant Professor at Osaka University. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from New York University in 2004.

I work in market design, primarily studying dominant strategy incentives in non-quasilinear environments. Most recently this has directed my focus to school choice, where coauthors and I have found a novel way of incorporating crowding externalities while preserving the standard structures ("Crowding in School Choice," AER, August 2024). We are now applying these techniques to make school funding endogenous to the matching.

I hold a MRes with Distinction from Imperial College, a MSc from the LSE and a BSc from Bocconi university in Economics. Prior to joining Imperial Business School I was a UK civil service economist, having worked for a variety of departments including the UK Finance ministry (HM Treasury).

My research focuses on the Future of Work. More specifically, I study how workers and their skills interact with new technologies, such as Digital, AI, and Green Technologies, both in a theoretical as well as empirical manner.

I am a 5th-year Ph.D. candidate at Goethe University Frankfurt where I also work as a research assistant. Further, I am a member of the Institute for Monetary and Financial Stability.

I am an applied theorist in the area of macroeconomics. My research focuses on the effects of information and behavioral frictions, household heterogeneity and monetary policy in general equilibrium models. My secondary research interest focuses on applied macroeconometric methods.

I am a Researcher at the Centre de Recerca en Economia International (CREi).

My research focuses on topics related to information asymmetries and their impact on financial markets and the real economy. I am interested in factors that lead to information and belief heterogeneity, on how these factors may impact incentives of market players to screen and monitor assets, and on the study of regulatory policies to increase liquidity and discipline in markets.

Before joining CREi, I was an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. I earned my PhD in Economics from UC Berkeley, and I have a Masters in Finance and a B.A. in Economics from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, in Argentina, where I am from. Before my PhD, I spent two years as a Junior Professional Associate at the World Bank.

I am also a Research Affiliate at CEPR, an Affiliated Professor at the Barcelona School of Economics, an Associate Editor at Management Science, the Journal of Financial Intermediation, a member of the Editorial Board at The Review of Economic Studies, and a board member of the Finance Theory Group.

I am also honored to be part of the #cientificaseinnovadoras2020 group.
